Aromatherapy Weekend (Oct. 14-16/11)
Join us for an inspiring weekend at Winnipeg's most fragrant garden centre!
Kick off the weekend with our moonlight shopping night - we will be open until 9pm (the evening is a magical time inside our fall greenhouses). Ev has brought in many new aromatherapy oriented products, includng certfied organic pure essential oils, soaps, candles, incense and much more. Monika Theissen, of Prairie Girl Pottery, will be demoing her pottery skills between 5 and 9pm, and has made incense and oil burners specially for this weekend.
Saturday we have the very popular Chyanne back to do tarot card reading, as well as long time natural health practitioner Rositha Jeanson who will be offering Indian Head Massage, Reflexology and Aura-Soma between 10:30 and 2pm (Rositha and Chyanne will be offering their services at very reasonable rates). We look forward to the time-travelling sounds of Baroque music duo Jan Freihammer and Kevin Scott, here to perform between 2 and 4pm. Last but not least, SGH's staff have planned a FREE "Making Your Own Herbal Vinegars & Oils" workshop at 1pm. There is no need to pre-register for this class.
Sunday we have SGH's Dave Hanson offering a FREE 'Scratch and Sniff' workshop on the topic of Living Aromatherapy... learn all about plants that bring the benefits of fragrance into our homes and gardens. This class is at 1pm, with no need to pre-register. To cap things off, Daniel Jordan and Daniel Peloquin-Hopfner, of the very talented acoustic folk/roots group Red Moon Road, will be here to delight us with a fall concert (2:30 to 4:30pm).
