Description: Developed in 1956 at what is now called the Morden Research Station. An early producing medium sized tomato with a tangy flavour.

Latin Name: Lycopersicon esculentum
Main Uses: Culinary

Zone Hardiness: Annual
Exposure: Full sun
Certified Organic: USDA Certified Organic

Germination Instructions: Germination: 5 - 7 days at 21° C. Sowing: Indoors 6 - 8 weeks before planting out date. It is not recommended to start tomatoes too early, as they get leggy. Apply a kelp fertilizer, such as Sea Magic™, from first watering onwards. Early fruiting varieties can be direct seeded in June. Planting depth: Lightly covered. Spacing: 12” inches between plants.

Pruning:  Fruits are ready when they have come into full mature color.

Fertilizing (Garden): After transplant, avoid high nitrogen fertilizers in favour of balanced compost - this will encourage better flower set and yield.

Watering (Garden): Consistant watering is important. Irregular watering patterns causes fruit to crack.
