Germination Instructions:
Germination: 7 - 40 days at 21° C. Sowing: Indoors at any time of the year. Sow 2 - 5 seeds per cell or plug. For best results, fertilize right from first watering with a kelp based fertilizer such as Sea Magic™. Outdoors: Best if sown indoors. Planting depth: Surface. Lightly press into the planting medium.
Notes:
Aloe plants can sun burn in very bright conditions - in spite of their warm climate provenance. Symptoms of too much sun include turning a brown color or, in extreme cases, becoming mushy in the leaves. In the greenhouse, we often keep aloes under shade cloth or even under benches. At home, it is recommended to keep aloe set back from very bright windows. They will do very well on coffee tables, or near a bright window with shear drapes.

Pruning:
Harvest leaf portions but cutting with sharp scissors.
Growing in Containers:
Excellent choice for containers - in fact aloe is not at all suited for the garden in Manitoba.
Fertilizing (Containers):
Fertilize monthly with a balanced organic plant food.

Water deeply, about every 14 days
Growing in Mixed Planters:
Aloe is one of the few house plants that does well in mixed planters. It looks great with other succulents such as Hens and Chicks orEcheveria.

Suitability for Indoors:
Excellent indoor plant.

Bright but diffused light.
What about Grow Lights?
Not required.
General Indoor Care:
Very easy going! Choose a soil that drains well. Pay attention to dust accumulating on the thick leaves, but other wise care free.
Indoor Container Suggestions:
4" to 6" pots are great for aloes. Start small, then work up to larger sizes. Ultimately, the bigger the pot, the bigger the plant.
Winter Fertilizing:
Fertilize monthly with a balanced organic plant food.
Winter Watering:
Water approximately every 10 - 14 days. Avoid over watering.
